# Migrate from UpNote

To migrate your notes from UpNote to Bear:

## Export notes from UpNote for Mac

* Select all the notes (Press `⌘A` on Mac) in UpNote
* Select `Export` from the 3 dot menu (`⌘E`)
* In the Export menu, select `Export As` “Separate Documents”
* Click `Export to Markdown`, and optionally tick “Includes additional data”
* Click the `export` button

## Import into Bear

In **Bear for Mac**, import your notes using `File` → `Import From` → `Markdown Folder` and selecting the folder containing the exported files.
